Slovenia Wine and Culinary Tours – 5 nights

featuring the best vineyards and restaurants in Slovenia, including Hiša Franko and Ana Roš – “the best female chef in the world”.

Slovenia wine and culinary tours – our first choice restaurants
Hiša Franko, Kobarid

Featuring chef Ana Roš, widely acclaimed to be “the best female chef in the world”.  We are delighted to offer Hiša Franko in our Slovenia wine and culinary tours. This is the only restaurant in Slovenia to hold two Michelin stars, dedicated to seasonal and locally produced ingredients. Professionalism, attention to detail, and passion are evident in the cuisine here. As demonstrated on the tasting menu of up to a dozen small dishes, all of which are different in taste and concept. Prepare yourself for an exciting culinary adventure and an extraordinary dining experience!

Villa Podvin, Radovljica

Chef Uroš Štefelin is another one of Slovenia’s top chefs. He is inspired by his own childhood when the family kitchen was full of the aromas of traditional Slovene dishes. Using modern techniques and creativity to transform traditional dishes into culinary delights of Slovene Nouvelle Cuisine. Uroš is currently awarded one Michelin star. Always cooked perfectly and astutely seasoned, many of the dishes here are made from zero-mile ingredients.

Chateau Gredić, Brda

Awarded the Michelin Plate, the decidedly modern cuisine shows both Italian and Slovenian influences, with equally good fish and meat dishes. The chateau boasts stunning views of the Brda hills in a glorious setting. It has an impressive wine cellar stocked with many of the best Slovenian wines. As well as bottles from neighbouring Italy, literally only a stone’s throw away.
