Slovenia, Croatia, BiH & Montenegro – 14 nights


This sample itinerary merely provides an illustration of what your private tour could look like. Your custom made private tour will be personalised in consideration of you own needs and preferences. Such as where your tour begins and ends, the total number of nights, the locations where you would like to overnight, the attractions that you would like to visit, and the amount of free time that you would like to enjoy at leisure.  


Day 1 Flight arrival at Venice Marco Polo airport. Private transfer to your hotel accommodation near Venice Marco Polo airport where you overnight. If some members of your group are arriving on different flights, separate transfers will be arranged. In the event of a flight delay for your arrival into Venice, we can assure you that your driver will be waiting for you at the new expected time of arrival. Time permitting you can take the opportunity to visit nearby Venice which is easily accessible by public bus, train or private taxi, or you can enjoy a restful first day after your long journey.
Day 2 Venice to Rovinj, crossing the border from Italy to Slovenia, and Slovenia to Croatia for a tour of the Istrian hills and countryside, including Groznjan and Motovun. Overnight in Rovinj. Your tour manager and driver/guide (Graeme) will arrive at your hotel the evening before, ready to meet you this morning.
Day 3 Guided walking tour in Rovinj and the rest of the day at leisure, overnight in Rovinj.
Day 4 Rovinj to Split, making some comfort breaks en route. Orientation and the rest of the afternoon at leisure, overnight in Split.
Day 5 Split to Mostar, crossing the border from Croatia to Bosnia & Herzegovina, with a guided walking tour in Mostar and the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Mostar.
Day 6 Mostar to Dubrovnik, breaking the journey at the market town of Trebinje for sightseeing and time for lunch. We cross the border from Bosnia & Herzegovina back into Croatia, heading for nearby Dubrovnik, orientation and overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 7 Guided walking tour in Dubrovnik including the old historic centre and the Franciscan Monastery. Afternoon at leisure to explore further, with an opportunity to walk Dubrovnik’s infamous city walls. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 8 Full day private tour to neighbouring Montenegro, crossing the border to visit the highlights of the Bay of Kotor including Perast, the Island of Our Lady of the Rocks and Kotor Old Town. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 9 Dubrovnik to Plitvice, with some refreshment breaks along the way. Overnight in Plitvice.
Day 10 Full day guided walking tour around the most attractive sections of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, with its numerous lakes and waterfalls. Overnight in Plitvice.
Day 11 Plitvice to Ljubljana, with a guided orientation walk of the old town and the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Ljubljana.
Day 12 Ljubljana to Lake Bled, making a visit the renowned Postojna Caves and Predjama Castle. Orientation and overnight in Lake Bled.
Day 13 Full day tour of the local region, including the Vintgar Gorge, Bled Castle, Lake Bohinj and the Mt.Vogel cable car. Overnight in Lake Bled.
Day 14 Lake Bled to Venice, concluding our tour at your accommodation located nearby to Venice and the airport. After your hotel check-in, Graeme will be happy to drop you off in the centre of Venice before he returns home to Slovenia. Overnight near Venice and the airport.
Day 15  You make your own travel arrangements to Venice Marco Polo airport for your flight departure. Alternatively you can continue your adventure elsewhere in Italy.

Your transportation is by deluxe passenger van, offering exceptional travel comfort, with your own dedicated English speaking driver/guide.

You can enjoy all of the benefits of a private tour with us, for less than the price of “big bus” tours, but with all of the benefits of a private tour. Particularly where the fixed costs of your private transportation and guiding are shared between four or six persons.

1) Your hotel accommodation with breakfast:

We have developed our own “cherry picked” selection of preferred hotel partners, based on our personal experiences and client feedback, which we continuously monitor. At the time of making your enquiry we will check the current availability and room rates for our first choice hotel selections, and these details will be included with your custom made itinerary and quotation.

2) Your entrance fees at visitor attractions:

All of the entrance fees at the various visitor attractions or activities which are included in your itinerary are covered, unless these are stated as “optional”, in which case you will need to pay for these.

3) Local guides:

In addition to the general guidance and recommendations provided by Graeme, your personal driver and tour manager for your entire tour, you will enjoy the services of local city guides in various locations. Several of the guided tours provided by the visitor attractions listed above include local specialist guides.

4) Other services:

Orientation and guidance at each overnight location including local restaurant recommendations, assistance with your luggage between the vehicle and the hotel lobby, hotel check-in assistance, 24/7 emergency contact.
